Five of the nation’s last 6 unbeaten teams put their perfect record on the line in major college football’s 11th week of play—Alabama, Oregon, Kansas State, Notre Dame and Louisville. Ohio State (10-0) is idle this week.
#1 Alabama (9-0) hosts #15 Texas A&M (7-2) and aims to win again. #2 Oregon (9-0) travels to unranked California (3-7) and will run all over the Cal Bears. #3 Kansas State (9-0) travels to unranked TCU (6-3) and had better come to play. #4 Notre Dame (9-0) travels to unranked Boston College (2-7) in a battle of Catholic universities. #11 Louisville (9-0) travels to unranked Syracuse (4-5) and should win.
#9 LSU (7-2) hosts #22 Mississippi State (7-2), and #13 Oregon State (7-1) travels to #16 Stanford (7-2). All of the other AP Top 25 teams should win, especially since so many of them are playing teams that are pitiful opponents with poor records.
Rutgers hosts 2-7 Army, Texas Tech hosts1-8 Kansas, Georgia travels to 2-7 Auburn, Louisiana Tech travels to 3-8 Texas State, and UCLA travels to 2-7 Washington State.
In other games of note, Penn State (6-3) travels to Nebraska (7-2), and Washington (5-4) hosts Utah (4-5).
The 23rd-ranked Toledo Rockets managed to get upset at home, 34-27, by the unranked Ball State Cardinals Tuesday night. Toledo is now 8-2 and Ball State improved its record to 7-3.
